Gamestop Halo 4 Release Tournament

11/11/2012 10:57 am - PlayingToW1N comments
Recently, we had the pleasure of working with a local Game Stop in North Olmsted, Ohio.   We worked together to bring you a midnight release tournament.  We want to thank everyone who came out to participate.  We will be working with this Game Stop in the future for all competitive title releases.

For Halo 4, there were ~100 pre-orders at this location.  Kate, who is the manager of this location, has been working very hard to identify her store as the Midnight Release/Tournament location for all upcoming competitive titles.  We look forward to working with this store in the future.

Below, you can find the Halo 4 Grand Finals captured by Rob Khonsu and i208.net (our official media consultant)

Twiddling my Thumbs 2. Evo Thoughts

7/9/2012 12:17 pm - FreeSuper comments
Small thoughts regarding this weekend's Evolution 2012 event.

This year gave us a very dominant performance by Infiltration and by the rest of "Team Korea" in general for all the other games. I am sure we will see way more Koreans next year for KOF and SFIV (and perhaps Tekken Tag 2). I know that SFxT will be dumped due to it not being popular (or a good game) unless a major balance patch is released or they do something drastic like allow gem combinations.

SFIV finals almost seemed to go by too fast, like the players just wanted to get it overwith since it started so late on Sunday. They really need to try to get some tighter scheduling. SFIV top8 being only 2 out of 3 sets for such high level players almost felt like a disservice. The TTT2 and Injustice demos probably added an hour to the schedule.  Let us forget how much time and notable matches the Sony Smash Bros. demo ate up.

UMvC3 was fantas...
